Dean Group International 2007 Brand Identity

Wilson and Cooke creative design was singled out from several other Manchester design agencies to rename and re-brand Manchester Investment Castings in line with the company’s repositioning in the market place.

“Although Manchester Investment Casting was changing its offering, the family run company needed to keep a link with its history. We decided to take the family name ‘Dean’ and use it for the company name as it is synonymous with quality in the metal casting industry”, said Wilson and Cooke Creative Director, Lee Whittingham.

The agency developed a contemporary brand identity around the new name - Dean Group International - and then applied the designs to the website, stationery, signage and brochures as well as handling the introduction of the new image to clients and suppliers.

Dean Group International Managing Director, Christopher Dean heard about Wilson and Cooke through a colleague in London just before the deadline for designs for their re-branding exercise, “We extended our deadline to give Wilson and Cooke the opportunity to pitch and we’re glad that we did. They immediately understood where we wanted to go and then interpreted this understanding into a visual identity. The result of the re-brand speaks for itself, our new image has had nothing but positive feedback.”
