Wilson Cooke runs away with Stream branding
Wilson Cooke have been commissioned to design and develop a brand identity and image for The Industrial Doctorate Centre for the Water Sector - Stream.
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), has awarded £5.8 million of funding for a collaborative Industrial Doctoral Centre (IDC) for the Water Sector, one of 44 Industrial Doctoral Centres supported across the UK. The Stream programme is delivered by a consortium of five collaborating universities, coordinated by Cranfield and including Imperial College London and the universities of Sheffield, Newcastle and Exeter.
Lee Whittingham, Creative Director says "The Stream team based at Cranfield University wanted a new image that would be both flexible and meaningful. Following several design consultations we created an identity that is a graphical representation of the motion of moving water. The flowing lines represent the coming together, overlapping and interaction of the establishments involved to form one flowing entity. As one of the main aims of the centre is to train tomorrow's water engineers, we developed a brand image to sit across all literature of a ring of water with a team of different hands holding onto it. This was applied to all literature from posters and leaflets to exhibition pop up banners".
