Please note the following information which may affect your website. If your website requires an update please contact us.
By 1st January 2007 all UK companies must include certain regulatory information on their websites or risk a fine.
The following information should be listed on company websites:
• Registatration number
• Place of registration
• Registered office address
This information should also be present on order forms and e-mails.
For e-commerce sites the following should be listed:
• Trading Name
• Organisation name (If different to trading name)
• Postal address
• E-mail address
A ‘Contact Us’ form is not sufficient without elsewhere providing address details in an easily accessible format. A PO Box is unlikely to suffice as a postal address, and if a business is a registered company the registered office address must be given.
