The Manchester-based Tutor Trust recently commissioned Wilson Cooke to create their new website and promotional leaflet.
The Tutor Trust is a new, not-for-profit social enterprise which aims to help close the attainment gap in the British education system by raising standards in the delivery of tuition and making a high quality, one-to-one tuition service available to a far broader group of students.
The Trust will link potential tutors with disadvantaged schools that wish to provide tuition for their pupils; it will select, train and certify tutors and also handle the logistics of organising lessons. Any financial surplus will be re-invested in tuition services for students from disadvantaged backgrounds and each tutor will ‘give something back’ by offering a free hour’s tuition for every six paid hours.
The website provides a point of contact between potential tutors and the Trust and includes details of current teaching opportunities as well as a news area - both of which can be easily updated by the Trust personnel. Wilson Cooke is amongst a number of organisations who have given their time, professional advice and support to the Trust including PwC LLP, Pannones LLP, Manchester University, Manchester City Council and MACE.
