I read blogs on a daily basis (I have to). I think almost every day since leaving University I have had retained the passion and enthusiasm (not to mention a lack of time to combat against) to read at least 10 minutes a day on the latest tech/web applications/thought leadership with regards to the world wide web.
I wanted to share some great blogs with you just in case you wanted to add them to your Google reader/RSS feed and we can maybe, one day, have a very intellectual and geeky discussion together.
eConsultancy (http://econsultancy.com/) - easily one of the best blogs out there for digital marketing providing generalised topics to individual niches.
A better user experience (http://abetteruserexperience.com/) - I enjoy the subjectivity of Ben and his honesty. It's not necessarily all about usability and the posts are somewhat rare but his tone is enjoyable and makes me want to read more.
UX Mag (http://uxmag.com/) - My favourite topic is UX and I enjoy reading in detail about who thinks what, why and how. Each post is guaranteed to take at least 10 minutes to read as a lot of thought, effort and concentration went into writing them. For this alone I believe they deserve a worthy mention.
Practical eCommerce (http://www.practicalecommerce.com/) - Similar to UX Mag, Practical ecommerce takes the time and effort into making ecommerce sites bigger and better with tips ranging from SEO advice on product pages to the persuasive price of a subscription.
Kissmetrics (http://blog.kissmetrics.com/) - Google analytics is my third passion in life (behind Manchester United and Disney) and Kissmetrics are the guys to look to for this. With great e-commerce tips and fantastic data analysis headed up by the genius Avinash Kaushik.
There are so many more to consider and it depends what you're into. These are just some of my starred RSS feeds for my Google reader - happy to take suggestions!
